Work on the album suffered severe delays and interruptions throughout 2019, including at one point, Boni being temporarily exiled from her London home due to civil engineering works and restricted access to the familiar surroundings which form part of her creative process.
Now, having returned to London, she is pleased to announce that she is ready to move forward with the album launch .

Dancing with Angels - TITLE TRACK
Boni was inspired to write this song for a close friend who had lost her loved one and her dancing partner of 30 years after she had a dream of them dancing together surrounded by angels. Her strong belief in angels started in childhood when her mother would often repeat a quote from the bible “Angels encampeth around those who believe”.
The photograph on her album cover of an angelic cloud in the sky was taken on a day when her prayer had been answered. She had prayed to Uriel the Angel of the weather during constant torrential rain asking for it to stop, within minutes the rain stopped and gave way to a blue sky and even brought sunshine for her son and his friends who were camping for a long weekend. She was thrilled as it remained sunny for all three days!
Fly Away - will be included on Boni's new album
Fly Away has a soothing ethereal quality to it with a haunting melody and pan-pipes.
The sentiments of the song relate not just to lost loved ones but also encompass the emotions of children leaving home (the nest) and going out into the world – encouraging us to feel joyful that they are discovering their talents and making their own way.
In that way we do not see it as a loss but a feeling of gratitude that we were blessed with children.
The Fly Away video can be seen on this website and here on Youtube .
Seeing a video of a grieving mother visiting her son’s grave was heart wrenching enough for Boni, but seeing the mother’s reaction when a robin flew directly on her hand was the inspiration for the song ‘Sweet Robin’. No wonder the youtube video had over a million views and went viral.
The theme of this song reflects the strong spiritual comfort we can derive from nature and particularly birds, which are thought to be a perfect vessel for the spirit.. Many believe animals can also be a vessel. Some say their pets have behaved strangely after the departure of a loved one.
Boni has performed this song live (with her guitar) on several occasions at Chapel services as well as it being played directly through Obitus & Wesley music systems.
Spirit in the breeze
Visiting a lost loved one’s graveside on a sunny day and being joyful and so grateful for the closeness we had – for the laughter that we shared – and glad that we’ve had that love – “so glad that you were mine” echoes these sentiments in the song.
You Live On
These song lyrics help us to be positive when alone after a loved one has departed - this is about having faith and how prayer can bring huge comfort.
"What will I do now that you've gone away, pick up my guitar and start to play, Take out my book and write you a song, I've been weeping for you far too long.
No more - You live on and I know I'll recover, live on - even nights when I yearn for a lover, Live on - every soul sometimes longs for another - but it doesn't have to be this way
You only have to pray ....
A spiritual song with a beautiful melody about soulmates who meet but cannot join in this lifetime but feel they have known each other in different dimensions : “Baby I must have known you in a past life long ago when we were both lovers these feelings overflow……”
